 Unable to Print after upgrading to windows 10:

This is a common issue that every HP users face this at times when they happen to upgrade to a higher version of windows say windows 10. You can now use these steps to fix the problem and print again.

Make sure all Windows Update are installed:

The important part of windows 10 upgrade is installing all the updates of the software to support full functionality of the system. Your printer might fail to work if all updates are not installed properly.

Select the change device installation settings from control panel settings from the list of results.

Using the import updates option you can select the Install updates automatically option.

Search windows for Windows Update then select the option Windows Update control panel setting from the list of results.

Then click check for Updates.

Check whether your print spooler service is running:

Search for view local services, and select the option View local services control panel settings in the list of results.

When the services window opens,

Locate the print spooler from the list.

If the status is stopped, right click the print spooler and select START.

If the status is started, right click the print spooler and select RESTART.

Now try to print.

If you are still not able to print then follow the next step.

Check whether your printer is set default

From the devices and printers option confirm whether your printer is set as default,

Search the windows for devices and select the Devices and Printers

Check whether your printer is set as default printer. If you do not find the green check mark on your printer icon then right click and set it as Default.
